Here are pictures of a few pretty turqouise hearts I am sending to Art Grows on Trees in the UK. I started out strong, knitting the butterfly ring, with great plans to make a few more butterflies, birds, and more….. something about plans in the summer… …. …. There is only one knitted butterfly. I hope he is not lonely. 😉
Luckily, early this spring, I felted a bunch of old wool sweaters that I found at thrift shops. One is a perfect shade of turquoise, and has been cut, sewn, and button charmed into some dangly little hearts. I may add a few more surprises to the package, before I mail it out…
These remind me of the heart shaped sugar cookies my mom makes. Of course, the cookies aren’t turquoise, well.. sometimes the icing is pretty colourful, depending on how many little fingers are involved with the food colouring!
